April 24-25, 2007

We are proud to partner with the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in presenting the second Midwest Green Building Conference held on April 24-25, 2007.

Keynote addressIn addition to participating on the conference planning committee, we also brought in Jim Hallock of Earth Block, Inc. and Dan Johnson of Midwest Earth Builders to present a workshop titled "Earth: The Truly Sustainable Building Material."

The workshop focused on the benefits of earth construction including health, humidity control, heat, embodied energy and sustainability for the planet. It also covered Compressed Earth Block (CEB) building strategies in a northern climate, which included CEB production, wall design and thermal performance.
